Role Overview

Join Kaav as an Android Developer to design and build robust e-commerce applications for the Android platform.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Android e-commerce apps.
Ensure apps are responsive, reliable, and optimized across device configurations.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver new features and improvements.
Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues; provide timely fixes.
Maintain code quality via code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and delegate tasks effectively.
Own work across the full SDLC: planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Stay current with Android trends and best practices and apply them to projects.
Support Google Play Store submission/provisioning and ensure compliance with platform policies.
Contribute to process and workflow improvement, including development automation.

Requirements

5+ years of professional Android app development experience.
Expert knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and JDK.
Strong command of Android SDK and UI components including Fragments and Custom Views.
Experience building multi-threaded and networked applications.
Strong debugging skills using Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
Hands-on experience with Google Play Store application submission and provisioning.
Leadership experience managing small teams (task delegation and project planning).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss both technical and non-technical topics.
Ability to independently design and develop complete Android applications.
Proficiency with Android Studio or IntelliJ IDEA.

Nice to Have

Experience with OpenGL, NDK, or high-performance graphics code.
Familiarity with mobile web services and protocols such as Protocol Buffers.
Deep understanding of Android UI paradigms from Gingerbread to Oreo, including Material Design.
