Role Overview

Contract Analytics Engineer for a retail client. You will build reliable, analytics-ready datasets that support reporting, forecasting, and customer insights.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain data models in a cloud data warehouse using SQL and dbt
Transform retail data (sales, inventory, ecommerce, customer) into analytics-ready datasets
Develop and optimize ELT workflows and improve warehouse performance
Define and maintain business metrics and KPIs
Implement data testing and ensure data quality
Partner with analytics and business teams to support dashboards and reporting

Requirements

Strong SQL and dbt experience
Experience with one of: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
Familiarity with orchestration tools: Airflow or Dagster
Experience supporting BI tools: Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
Ability to ramp quickly and work in a fast-paced environment

Contract Details

Fully remote, but must be NY-based
40 hours/week (full-time contract)
Initial 6-month contract with likely extension
No C2C or third-party contracting
