Analytics Engineer | Remote

Role Overview

Analytics Engineer (Remote) — hourly contract focused on completing and evaluating data engineering work executed via coding agents.

Responsibilities

• Complete and evaluate complex data engineering tasks using coding agents
• Review model-generated implementations involving:
  • ETL pipelines
  • Data warehouses
  • Analytics platforms
  • Distributed data systems
• Identify bugs, edge cases, scalability issues, and system failure modes
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths/weaknesses
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world data engineering scenarios

Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering
• Strong experience building ETL pipelines, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and/or distributed data systems
• Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
• Ability to evaluate model-generated data infrastructure and pipeline implementations
• Strong experience operating large-scale data platforms

Contract & Logistics

• Remote
• Sprint-based project with 12–24 hour stretches based on project requirements
• Hourly contract compensation

Compensation

• $80/hour (typical tasks: ~$400 for 2–3 hours after ramp-up)
