Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

Join Reddit’s Analytics Engineering team as an Analytics Engineer. You’ll partner with Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data and analytic tooling that drives Reddit’s product forward.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to build and deploy data/analytics tooling.
• Architect and improve data collection, including building ETLs, reporting dashboards, and related deliverables.
• Own data stewardship and ensure data governance and maintainable systems.
• Lead efforts to build a data-driven culture, with emphasis on data self-service.
• Enable efficient data workflows and model data for analytical consumption.

Requirements

• 4+ years working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, maintenance).
• Strong production engineering skills: build clean, maintainable code and systems (preferably Python).
• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, physics).
• Proven cross-functional execution and collaboration; strong communication with stakeholders at all technical levels.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, and patterns for efficient data governance.
• Ability to work with massive-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with data workflows (e.g., Airflow), plus dashboard/reporting and/or front-end/back-end engineering.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Deep understanding of designs for relational and MPP databases.

Nice-to-Haves

• Consumer product domain experience.
• Agentic AI-assisted development experience.
