About the role
Role overview
Join KOHO Financial as an Analytics Engineer. You will build and scale reporting pipelines and data models that support decision-making across the organization, owning parts of the data infrastructure backbone and ensuring reliable reporting.
Key missions
- Build and scale data pipelines and data models to enable internal decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain pipeline health, optimize query performance, and implement data quality monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar data role.
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- DBT Core and/or DBT Cloud experience.
- Git for development workflows.
- Comfortable with complex dbt projects and concepts such as:
- materializations (e.g., incremental, table, view)
- snapshots
- variables, macros
- Jinja
- Ability to connect technical work to business outcomes and communicate clearly with different audiences.
- Works well with analysts, PMs, and engineers to turn business needs into technical solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon Redshift.
- “AI-curious”: experience or interest in leveraging AI tools for development workflows.
- Experience with highly-regulated domains.
- Experience in fintech or banking environments.
