About the role

Role overview

You’ll work as an Analytics Engineer (partner-managed hiring) to transform complex business data into reliable, scalable analytics solutions. The role designs and maintains data models, pipelines, and reporting assets that power trusted insights and smarter decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business reporting requirements and KPIs into governed, scalable data assets.
  • Design and maintain enterprise analytics solutions, including:
    • Dimensional models and star schemas
    • Data marts and governed analytical datasets
  • Build and support Power BI semantic models, including:
    • Relationships
    • Reusable calculations and business measures
    • Optimized reporting structures
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations using SQL, including:
    • Queries, views, stored procedures, scripts, and curated datasets
  • Support modernization efforts, including contributing to migration toward Microsoft Fabric and modern BI platforms.
  • Validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and clearly document and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor reporting assets/datasets/metrics to identify data quality and performance issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation (data models, reporting definitions, source-to-target mappings, calculations, and governance practices).
  • Promote data governance through standardized definitions, metadata management, trusted sources, and structured access.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, applications, logs, and business systems).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience designing data pipelines, curated datasets, and analytics solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing and analytical modeling (dimensional modeling, star schemas, data marts).
  • Experience developing Power BI semantic models (relationships, calculations/measures, performance optimization).
  • Advanced SQL skills (queries, views, stored procedures, scripts, and data validation).
  • Ability to gather requirements and collaborate across technical and business teams.
