About the role
Role overview
The Analytics Engineer will build and maintain internal reporting solutions that provide insights into portfolio performance, product development, and other internal business processes. You’ll be responsible for key parts of the reporting lifecycle including requirements, dashboard design, and data validation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models
- Support and refine existing Power BI reports and semantic models
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for analytics/reporting
- Perform data modeling to enable performant, scalable analytics and reporting
- Build and maintain ELT/ETL workflows in collaboration with engineering and platform teams
- Validate data accuracy and completeness via testing, reconciliation, and proactive issue resolution
- Partner with product, finance, and operations stakeholders to refine metrics, definitions, and reporting logic
- Participate in data architecture discussions and follow established standards/best practices
- Improve analytics tooling, documentation, and reporting processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies across dashboards, pipelines, and source systems
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related data role
- Proficiency in Power BI and data modeling (including Power Query)
- Strong SQL skills
- Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and ETL/ELT concepts
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Python and Azure Data Factory
- Ability to define and document functional and technical requirements
- Strong problem-solving for data validation and discrepancy resolution
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Nice-to-haves
- Background in data modeling and pipeline development
- Experience with additional ETL/ELT tools
- Experience with Azure DevOps APIs
