Analytics Engineer II

Role Overview

Analytics Engineer II at Earnest, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Platforms & Analytics Engineering. You’ll build and maintain analytics-ready data models that help Product, Risk, and Analytics teams make faster, more reliable decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve data models to enable faster, more reliable decision-making across Product, Risk, and Analytics.
• Reduce bottlenecks by delivering clean, scalable datasets analysts can trust and use independently.
• Support roadmap initiatives and ad hoc needs so business teams can move without delays.
• Improve data quality and structure to enable confident analysis and launch of new products and features.

Requirements

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar.
• Strong SQL and experience building data models for business use cases.
• Experience with dbt and modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and turn messy data into usable insights.
• Curious, proactive problem-solver.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
• Exposure to fintech, product analytics, or high-growth environments.
