About the role

Role Overview

Senior Data Analytics Engineer (Remote, CST) You will own the integrity and flow of client data into the company’s internal analytics environment. You will manage secure onboarding of client datasets, automate ingestion pipelines, resolve complex data discrepancies, and ensure data is mapped, validated, and analytics-ready.

Responsibilities

Secure Client Data Onboarding

  • Design and maintain secure client data gateways using SFTP
  • Administer SharePoint file security and permissions to support HIPAA compliance
  • Ensure complete data isolation for sensitive client information

Infrastructure Automation & Data Workflows

  • Build and operationalize automation scripts in Python and PowerShell (e.g., file movement)
  • Implement proactive pipeline monitoring and automated data cleanup processes
  • Create automated notifications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

Modern Data Stack (ETL/ELT) & Transformations

  • Map incoming data formats into the data warehouse, including CSV, flat files, database files, and EDI (e.g., EDI 834, EDI 835/837)
  • Develop and optimize dbt models to transform raw claims and eligibility data
  • Produce analytics-ready tables for BI and reporting

Data Troubleshooting & Integrity

  • Perform root-cause analysis on complex datasets
  • Fix logic errors in domains such as Accumulators, Pharmacy Claims, and Eligibility files
  • Maintain data integrity across multiple pipelines and formats

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Provide clear technical guidance to internal teams
  • Translate database/engineering errors into actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years in data operations, data architecture, or related roles
  • 3+ years experience in Healthcare or PBM settings (claims, eligibility, accumulator data)
  • Knowledge of healthcare/pharmacy claims domains (Claims, Eligibility, Accumulators) (preferred)
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and Power Platform automation (preferred)
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake, Fabric, and dbt
  • Proficiency in Python, MSSQL, and PowerShell
  • Practical knowledge of SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS and secure managed file transfer (MFT) protocols
  • Experience handling CSV, 340B, Fixed-width flat-files, EDI, and database files
  • Proven ability to independently manage client-facing SFTP integrations and end-to-end data mapping

Nice-to-Haves

  • SharePoint administration and Power Platform experience
  • Direct experience with healthcare/PBM analytics around claims, eligibility, and accumulators
