Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex systems and manual workflows to understand tool constraints and data reality.
  • Design and maintain clean, scalable, production-grade dbt models (e.g., ARR and revenue recognition).
  • Work across the full data pipeline:
    • IngestionTransformationVisualization
  • Use a pragmatic approach: balance quick fixes with long-term architecture.
  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to deliver timely, practical data solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and maintaining production-grade data models and pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of modern data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Advanced SQL skills with complex datasets and schemas.
  • High attention to detail: strong standards for data accuracy and validation.
  • Ability to navigate manual tasks and imperfect systems.
  • Passion for clean code, scalable architecture, and incremental simplification.
  • Strong prioritization and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to flex into other domains (e.g., Product/Marketing/Engineering) as the team grows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a high-growth PLG SaaS company.
  • Track record of turning ad hoc/manual workflows into scalable pipelines.
  • Familiarity with billing systems and GAAP accounting, revenue recognition, or audit support.
  • Exposure to Stripe, Salesforce, or Orb in billing/finance contexts.
  • Familiarity with financial cycles and rapid iteration around month/quarter-end.
