Amazon Connect Developer

Role Overview

Amazon Connect Developer with strong backend and integration experience, building enterprise call center/collaboration/telephony platforms in cloud or on-prem environments. You will architect and implement integrations for Amazon Connect within hybrid operating models.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate call center/telephony solutions, especially CRM and workforce management (WFM) integration capabilities.
• Develop Amazon Connect-related capabilities, including required development and deployment workflows.
• Implement serverless integrations using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Redshift, Aurora, Kinesis, DynamoDB).
• Architect large-scale solutions that work smoothly in hybrid environments (private + public cloud).
• Set up and configure AWS services following best practices.
• Integrate and adapt existing enterprise call centers into Amazon Connect.
• Build RESTful API services and Webhooks; develop back-end server components.
• Maintain domain expertise in enterprise call centers, workforce management, and CRM platforms.
• Implement and extend enterprise frameworks/methodologies for assessing, migrating, and transforming call center experiences.
• Participate in Agile/S​DLC-based delivery, including short on-site projects supporting new distributed computing solutions.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience building call center/collaboration/telephony platforms in cloud or on-prem.
• 4+ years of strong Node.js development experience.
• Expertise in Node.js and frameworks such as Express (and StrongLoop).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong server-side/API development: RESTful APIs and Webhooks.
• Knowledge of Node.js core behavior (REPL, streams, callbacks, core modules).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology and SDLC principles/tools.
• Strong database skills: SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL (MongoDB preferred), including data migration strategies.
• Understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3); Angular 2+ or React is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services and distributed environments; experience across enterprise tech ecosystems is expected.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience with Amazon Connect capabilities, benefits, and deployment.
• Cloud platform experience such as AWS/GCP.
• Experience with other enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Citrix, VMware, Oracle, HP).
