Role overview

You will build and optimize full-stack web applications and AI-powered features, integrating modern TypeScript/React frontends with Next.js backend capabilities and LLM tooling. The work includes designing reliable systems for streaming, tool-use, and orchestration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade full-stack web applications with modern React patterns.
• Build and operate Next.js (App Router) features including Server Components, API routes, SSR/SSG, and edge deployment.
• Implement LLM capabilities: prompt engineering, streaming APIs, function calling, tool-use, and chaining/orchestration patterns.
• Use Vercel AI SDK for unified LLM provider integration (streaming, structured output, tool calling).
• Build or consume MCP servers to enable extensible AI tool use.
• Deliver scalable backend services using Node.js or Python with REST/GraphQL APIs and relational data stores.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries (including migrations and performance tuning).
• Work with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure in AWS/Azure environments.
• Apply modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Contribute to modern UI development using Tailwind CSS and component-driven UI patterns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and React, including performance optimization and modern patterns (hooks, context, Suspense).
• Production experience with Next.js (App Router, Server Components, API routes, SSR/SSG, edge deployment).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: prompt engineering, streaming, function calling, tool-use, chaining and orchestration.
• Experience with Vercel AI SDK.
• Working knowledge of Node.js or Python, REST/GraphQL, relational databases, and Redis.
• Solid database design and optimization experience with PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM.
• Experience with scalable/distributed systems in AWS/Azure.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and modern component-driven UI development.
• High agency: operate independently in ambiguity, take ownership, and drive problems to completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building/consuming MCP servers (Model Context Protocol).
• Familiarity with Radix UI.
