Role Overview

AI Software Engineer (Freelance, Fully Remote) — US

You will review production-grade code and assess AI-generated outputs across multiple programming languages, setting and reinforcing engineering standards.

Responsibilities

Code Quality Assessment
- Review AI-generated full-stack code for production readiness
- Evaluate maintainability, scalability, and real-world engineering standards
- Compare/rank solutions across multiple languages (e.g., correctness, robustness, tradeoffs)
Technical Training & Enablement
- Create and answer questions on software engineering best practices
- Document debugging strategies and version control workflows
- Provide expert feedback on collaborative coding practices
AI Model Improvement (Engineering Quality Signals)
- Analyze code quality across full-stack scenarios
- Evaluate Git workflows (branching, merging, collaboration)
- Generate training data for advanced coding AI capabilities

Required Qualifications

3+ years professional full-stack development experience
Proficiency in 2+ languages from: JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, C++
Production software building/shipping experience
Strong Git knowledge (branching, merging, collaboration)
Excellent technical communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Backend engineering and server-side scaling experience
TDD experience using PyTest / JUnit / Mocha
Technical specification and API contract authoring
Strong code review, complex debugging, and large codebase analysis
Startup founding/early employee experience
