AI Product Builder, React

Role Overview

AI Product Builder (Contract) Hands-on role to build and improve North, a behavioral health navigation platform. You’ll work across product, front-end development, AI-assisted coding, debugging, QA, and UX, translating plain-English direction into working software.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve user-facing features using React and TypeScript
• Debug issues across the app and confirm fixes actually work
• Enhance AI-guided product flows, response behavior, and overall user experience
• Test edge cases and strengthen QA before releases
• Work with APIs, database-backed features, and app logic
• Keep the product simple, clear, and trustworthy
• Translate product ideas into practical technical steps
• Document important changes and help reduce technical drift

Requirements

• Experience building real web apps with React and TypeScript
• Comfort with Node/Express, APIs, and database-backed applications
• Experience using AI coding tools and/or building AI-enabled product features
• Strong debugging habits and willingness to test your own work
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment
• Clear communication and solid product judgment
• Practical experience prioritized over a specific degree

Nice to Have

• Experience with Replit, Cursor, Supabase/PostgreSQL, OpenAI APIs, or similar tools
• Background with health, wellness, behavioral health, HR, or caregiver/veteran/first-responder-related products
• Portfolio items such as shipped apps, GitHub repos, hackathon projects, or working prototypes

• Remote contract role with flexible hours and scope shaped around the right person
