About the role

Role Overview

AI/ML Software Engineer working with federal clients to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists, developers, and subject matter experts to build AI applications, data pipelines, and intelligent systems from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML applications, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, AI chatbots, and agentic workflows
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to process, transform, link, and feed structured and unstructured data into AI models
Develop ML models for risk scoring, anomaly detection, classification, clustering, and predictive analytics
Apply graph analytics / network analysis to connect entities such as individuals, transactions, organizations, events, documents, and locations; identify relationships and anomalies
Implement entity resolution to match, deduplicate, and link records across large datasets
Use NLP to extract entities, relationships, topics, events, and indicators from unstructured text and documents
Prototype and iterate with cross-functional teams on fraud/trafficking detection, data triage, search/optimization, and automated discovery
Build and maintain REST APIs to serve model inferences and integrate AI into larger systems
Contribute to software architecture; ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient
Deploy and manage applications/models in cloud environments, primarily AWS, using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices

Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal/DoD “Public Trust”; approved adjudication required prior to onboarding (active Public Trust/suitability preferred)
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 6 years hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Strong hands-on experience with Python for AI/ML application development, data engineering/data analysis, and model implementation

Nice-to-haves / Emphasis

Demonstrable experience building production-ready AI solutions from concept to deployment
Proven experience with RAG applications
Expertise in graph analytics/network analysis, entity resolution, and NLP for investigative use cases
Experience deploying AI systems in AWS with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices
