AI / ML Manager

Role Overview

AI / ML Manager at Whatnot (full remote, based in San Francisco, US). Lead the development and scaling of core infrastructure powering machine learning and self-hosted large language model applications across the company.

Responsibilities

• Own AI/ML infrastructure that supports critical business surfaces, including:
  • growth
  • recommendations
  • trust & safety
  • fraud
  • seller tooling
• Guide prototyping → deployment → productionization of novel ML architectures in collaboration with ML scientists.
• Design and scale inference infrastructure to serve large models with low latency and high throughput.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on technical depth in AI/ML infrastructure.
• Ability to bring cutting-edge models into production.
• Passion for building and scaling AI systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with large language model (LLM) infrastructure and self-hosted model serving.
