About the role
AI/ML Engineer (Remote)
Join YO IT Consulting to help deliver mission-critical government initiatives and build proprietary AI infrastructure using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models for production-grade applications, especially LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Develop and orchestrate multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.
- Integrate and deploy AI solutions on secure/regulated cloud environments, including:
- AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+
- Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock
- Build data pipelines and manage ETL, including metadata catalogs and ontologies for high-quality training/inference data.
- Create and maintain REST APIs and SDK integrations for model/data interaction.
- Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams; follow secure coding and DevOps best practices using CI/CD.
- Document technical decisions and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development, including REST API and SDK integration experience.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, and prompt engineering in production.
- Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, tool use, and LangGraph/LangChain.
- Deep understanding of cloud AI services in regulated environments (AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
- Background building/maintaining data pipelines, ETL, ontologies, and metadata catalogs.
- Strong grasp of secure coding and modern DevOps practices including CI/CD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI/agentic platforms such as Anthropic for Gov, OpenAI Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, or Grok Enterprise.
- Knowledge of metadata catalog platforms (MCP) and advanced API development techniques.
- Prior experience in government or highly regulated cloud/compliance environments.
