AI/ML Engineer - Remote

Role overview

Join YO IT Consulting as an AI/ML Engineer (Remote) to support mission-critical government initiatives and help build proprietary AI infrastructure. You’ll design production-grade machine learning systems using LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models using LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering for production applications.
• Develop and orchestrate multi-agent systems using LangGraph and LangChain.
• Integrate and deploy AI solutions in secure cloud environments, including:
  • AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+
  • Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock
• Build data pipelines and manage ETL, including metadata catalogs and ontologies to support high-quality training and inference data.
• Create and maintain REST APIs and SDK integrations for data/model interoperability.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver secure solutions using secure coding and DevOps best practices (CI/CD).
• Document decisions and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Python proficiency for AI/ML development, including REST API and SDK integration.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, and prompt engineering in production.
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration and tool use via LangGraph/LangChain.
• Deep understanding of secure cloud AI services: AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock.
• Experience building/maintaining data pipelines, ontologies, metadata catalogs, and ETL.
• Strong secure coding and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with agentic/AI platforms such as Anthropic (Gov), OpenAI Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, or Grok Enterprise.
• Knowledge of metadata catalog platforms (MCP) and advanced API development techniques.
• Prior exposure to government or other highly regulated environments and compliance standards.
