AI/ML Engineer [REMOTE JOB]

Role Overview

BAE Systems is seeking an AI/ML Engineer (Remote) to join a cross-functional AI COE team working with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders. You will develop user-driven AI and software products that improve human-AI performance for the next generation of digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust machine-learning algorithms, including large language models (LLMs)
• Gather requirements with stakeholders and translate them into actionable AI/ML solutions
• Perform data discovery and analysis: cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming raw data for quality and integrity
• Create visualizations and insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Build and maintain user interfaces for AI/ML applications using frontend technologies (React/Angular/other JS frameworks)
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend apps with AI/ML models and APIs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years professional experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or AI Engineer
• Strong understanding of LLMs and practical applications
• Experience with Agent + RAG systems
• Data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau and Power BI)
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Dataiku
• Frontend framework proficiency: React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D.
• Experience with large datasets
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with cloud data warehousing and big data processing (e.g., AWS Glue, Apache Spark)
