AI/ML Engineer (Python)

Role Overview

You will build and maintain AI and machine learning solutions that help power products and deliver a high-quality customer experience at Deel. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (data science, data engineering, product, and business stakeholders) across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product planning from discovery through deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions.
• Develop and maintain AI/ML algorithms using Python.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a STEM/Computer Science-related field.
• Proven experience delivering AI/Machine Learning solutions in a product environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas clearly and collaborate across diverse backgrounds.
• Back-end engineering experience in production environments (5+ years) (Mid/Senior level).
• High proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL, including the data science stack.

Nice-to-haves / Domain Focus

• Hands-on experience (2+ years) implementing research and algorithms in Python, particularly for:
  • Information retrieval
  • Text processing
  • NLP
  • Machine learning
