AI/ML Engineer

Role Overview

Belva.ai is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions for its core telecommunications products. You will work on the backend Python team, collaborating with data engineers and ML specialists to turn models and data pipelines into scalable, robust applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI/ML models for telecommunications use cases.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to convert models and data pipelines into scalable software.
• Implement and maintain production-grade AI systems with reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Develop and refine prompts for large language models to improve responsiveness and accuracy.
• Manage deployment workflows using containerization, CI/CD, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Create unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and robustness.
• Stay current with advances in AI/ML and integrate new techniques into existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions; mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience as an AI/ML Engineer in production environments.
• Strong foundation in Python and C++.
• Practical experience deploying machine learning models in production.
• Essential knowledge of NLP, machine translation, and text-to-speech.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Prompt development experience with large language models such as ChatGPT, Llama 2, or Claude 2.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
