AI/ML Engineer (Candidates in EST/CST only)

Role: AI/ML Engineer

AI/ML Engineer needed for a 100% remote contract role (candidates located in EST/CST only). The assignment is budgeted until end of the year with a high possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models with accurate results and controls to solve defined business problems using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Perform data wrangling to create datasets for ML tasks.
• Run ML experiments to evaluate feasibility and build baseline models.
• Fine-tune baseline models to achieve optimal performance.
• Test models internally against acceptance criteria from the business.
• Document artifacts to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy models.
• Work with product teams on planning and execution of new product releases.
• Define OKRs and success steps for self/team; provide feedback toward team goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (business, technology, product) to build ML solutions aligned to product vision.

Requirements

• 6+ years software engineering or ML/LLM engineering experience.
• 3+ years focused on AI and Generative AI solutions (OpenAI preferred).
• Strong hands-on development with Python and building production-grade backend services.
• Experience designing and implementing LLM applications using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or Llama.
• Proven experience building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures and integrating vector databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional LLM platforms beyond OpenAI (e.g., Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Llama).
