AI/ML Engineer (15+ Years)

Role

AI/ML Engineer (15+ years) — Contract Remote (Canada/USA) restricted to EST time zone.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy enterprise AI/ML solutions across multiple production releases.
• Develop AI/ML systems for healthcare applications using datasets such as EHR, ADT, and clinical notes.
• Implement Generative AI / LLM capabilities including transformer-based architectures.
• Perform prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) such as LoRA and QLoRA.
• Create RAG pipelines and LLM applications (e.g., with LangChain/LlamaIndex).
• Support ML engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, and scalable ML deployment architectures.
• Work with data engineering and big data tooling to support ML workflows.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML.
• Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience in AI/ML.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Healthcare AI/ML applications.
• Strong Python programming skills (Java or other languages are a plus).
• Strong SQL and data engineering skills.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, or Databricks.
• Solid understanding of transformer architectures and LLM-based applications.
• Hands-on with Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, and related ML libraries.
• Hands-on with prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques (LoRA/QoRA).
• Experience deploying on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration in distributed, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with responsible AI and model evaluation.
• Experience with additional MLOps/LLM tooling such as LangSmith.
