Role Overview

AI/ML Developer II (Software Engineer II) at Sundayy/The Home Depot. You will design, develop, deploy, and improve production software and machine learning models, working with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with UX, engineering, and product management to deliver secure, reliable, scalable software
Document, review, and ensure adherence to quality and change control standards
Develop and automate infrastructure, monitoring, and testing scripts to improve resiliency and efficiency
Configure COTS solutions to match evolving business needs
Build dashboards, logging, alerting, and response mechanisms to proactively address issues
Participate in continuous learning and contribute to process improvements in an Agile environment
Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models and algorithms for business use cases
Implement and maintain data pipelines, data ingestion workflows, and data processing systems
Perform performance tuning, security assessments, and disaster recovery planning for production systems
Build RESTful web services and scalable APIs
Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve system issues efficiently

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
2–3+ years of relevant professional software development experience
Extensive experience with AI and machine learning applications
Proficiency in Python and Golang
Strong understanding of ML algorithms, data preprocessing, and model evaluation
Experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT (data ingestion workflows)
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform including Vertex AI, BigQueryML, and AutoML
Proficiency with SQL and working with relational and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
Understanding of CI/CD, microservice architecture, and modern debugging techniques
Understanding of security frameworks, authentication, and authorization
Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

Nice to Have

Experience creating monitoring/response systems (dashboards, logging, alerting)
Experience with disaster recovery planning and security assessments in production
