AI Intern

Role

AI Intern (Machine Learning Engineer) at CertifyOS on a 6-month contract. You will build, test, and deploy ML-powered services on the provider data platform. This is not a pure research role—you’ll focus on production-ready software engineering, evaluation, and robust deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain ML-driven services and data workflows in Python
• Apply software engineering best practices: clean code, unit/integration testing, code reviews
• Build and maintain evaluation pipelines and metrics for model/system performance in production-like environments
• Deploy and operate ML services on GCP, using tools such as:
  • Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage
• Troubleshoot and improve existing ML services with focus on reliability, latency, and correctness
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, engineering, and data to clarify requirements and iterate
• Communicate trade-offs, risks, timelines, and results to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production services
• Hands-on experience deploying and running workloads on Google Cloud Platform
• Ability to write and debug SQL queries
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: testing, debugging, Git, CI/CD, monitoring
• Experience evaluating ML systems (metrics, evaluation datasets, experiments, interpreting results)
• Independence and ownership; ability to drive projects with limited supervision
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal)

Nice to Haves

• Experience writing in Java
• Experience with data pipelines/ETL on GCP
• Experience with healthcare data, compliance, or PII
• Experience with experiment tracking/evaluation tools like MLflow or Weights & Biases (or custom dashboards)

Contract & Location

• 6-month contract
• Fully remote (posting also lists Pune as location)
