AI-First Product Owner

Role Overview

AI-First Product Owner for a fintech organization, responsible for end-to-end product definition where product ownership is tightly integrated with design, engineering, and AI-driven development workflows. You will define product intent and system behavior, producing implementation-ready specifications that guide engineering execution.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product definition and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver fintech solutions powered by AI-driven workflows.
• Define product vision and system behavior from problem discovery through implementation and iteration.
• Write clear, testable, implementation-ready product specifications, including:
  • APIs
  • Data models
  • User interaction flows
• Partner on system architecture, technical design decisions, and trade-offs.
• Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototype solutions, and refine product/technical specifications.
• Participate in engineering discussions to reduce ambiguity and ensure alignment.
• Support development workflows across front-end and back-end systems when needed.
• Design scalable fintech workflows across domains such as core banking, digital banking, lending, and payments.
• Continuously iterate using feedback, data, and experimentation.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product roles within fintech, banking, or financial services.
• Experience with core banking, digital banking, lending, or payments platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulated financial environments and complex workflows.
• Ability to design systems/workflows beyond traditional requirements gathering.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, data modeling, and system interactions.
• Ability to translate product intent into system design and lead technical discussions with engineering.
• Experience working in agile or cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience (or strong curiosity) with AI-powered product development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous environments and a high-ownership mindset.
