AI Engineering & Automation Specialist (on-site)

Role overview

Build and ship production-grade AI agent systems and internal automation tooling at Cloover. You’ll design end-to-end agentic pipelines and RAG-based workflows, develop MCP servers, and create integrations so data and actions flow directly between tools—eliminating manual steps.

You report to the Head of Operations & Energy and work with a tightly connected team across Ops, Energy, Sales, CS, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, build, and ship end-to-end agentic systems, including:
  • RAG pipelines, embeddings, retrieval, prompt engineering, and evaluation
  • Automation for Cloover’s highest-volume internal workflows
• Develop and deploy MCP servers and integrations connecting tools such as:
  • HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Aircall (and others)
  • Ensure data lands where needed without manual “handoff” steps
• Write production code in Python and TypeScript with:
  • clean schema design, security, and authorization
  • code that runs in production (not prototypes that get abandoned)
• Own internal tooling end-to-end:
  • identify a gap, build the tool, deploy to Firebase, Vercel, or GCP
  • include proper versioning and CI/CD
• Build Claude Code skills/plugins/connectors and onboard colleagues to AI-native workflows that are actually used
• Collaborate with multiple teams to identify the highest-leverage automation use cases and implement them

Requirements

• Shipped agentic systems and/or RAG pipelines or AI-powered tools (in study, side projects, hackathons, or professional work)
• Strong production engineering in Python and/or TypeScript; able to defend engineering trade-offs
• Confident integrating and securing REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication/authorization across third-party systems (HubSpot/Slack/Notion or similar)
• Ability to model data appropriately and translate identified gaps into shipped solutions independently
• Based in Berlin and comfortable with an office-first routine

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP, Claude Code, or agent frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or Google ADK
• German skills B1+ to collaborate with the Ops & Energy team
