AI Engineer

Role Overview

You’ll be an AI Engineer at Analytic Labs, building AI-native features for Eclipse/ALDC. The team values shipping quickly, experimenting, and using AI to accelerate development while maintaining strong engineering fundamentals.

What You’ll Do

• Build AI-native features: Design and implement AI-powered capabilities across the platform (e.g., natural language interfaces and intelligent automation).
• Prototype & ship: Rapidly build, test, and iterate on new ideas.
• AI-augmented development: Use AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to increase output and help establish team best practices.
• Customer onboarding: Create and configure data pipelines for new customers, connecting source systems and transforming data into dimensional models for analytics.
• Data support: Triage and resolve data issues across customer pipelines and models; debug pipeline problems and maintain data quality.
• Integrations: Build and maintain API connections, workflows, and data sync processes across diverse systems.
• Process automation: Automate manual workflows such as data mapping, schema inference, and pipeline generation using AI.

Requirements

• 4+ years hands-on software development experience.
• Strong backend fundamentals in at least one backend language (Python preferred).
• Solid SQL skills.
• Experience building with LLMs and AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Comfortable working across the stack when needed.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Strong bias toward action: ship first, iterate, and learn quickly.
• Collaborative; comfortable working directly with customers to translate problems into solutions.
• Located in British Columbia.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouses.
• Background in data engineering or analytics.
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and tool use.
• Experience with vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Previous startup experience.
