AI Automation Engineer

Role Overview

You’ll join Leadtech as an AI Automation Engineer to transform customer service operations with multi-agent AI and workflow automation. The role focuses on designing end-to-end customer-facing workflows (email, refunds, escalation, and voice interactions) and integrating them with internal tools and APIs.

Key Missions

• Design and build multi-agent AI systems integrating LLMs for end-to-end customer-facing workflows (e.g., email triage, refund processing, escalation logic, voice bot interactions).
• Develop and maintain N8N automation workflows integrating voice AI platforms and applying custom prompt logic to shape call bot behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce, diagnose, and escalate complex technical issues; participate in recurring syncs to identify and fix recurring automation gaps.

Responsibilities & How You’ll Work

• Move fluidly between multi-agent architecture, N8N workflow building, LLM prompt iteration, and API/data integration.
• Take full ownership of projects, document work, and unblock yourself while staying aligned with technical leads, product managers, and support operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in AI automation engineering, backend integration, or technical roles in digital/SaaS.
• Proven experience building/maintaining automation workflows in N8N (or equivalent like Zapier/Make).
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs (design, integration, testing, documentation). Building APIs is a plus.
• Experience integrating with customer support tools such as Zendesk, HelpScout, Freshdesk, or LiveAgent.
• Proficiency with N8N (webhook debugging, dynamic base URL configuration, AI node integration).
• Familiarity with voice AI platforms such as Vapi, Bland AI, ElevenLabs, ConnexAI, Retell AI (or equivalent).
• Strong prompt engineering and Generative AI (LLMs) experience (developer-level with Claude (Sonnet/Opus) and/or GPT).
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and Python.
• Proficiency with Postman for API testing, environment configuration, and test suite management.
• Solid understanding of JSON, API response parsing, and structured output validation.
• Deep understanding of REST API design (HTTP semantics, status codes, request/response structuring, versioning).
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen (or academic interest).
• Excellent written/verbal communication in English (advanced).
