AI Automation Engineer (GTM)

Role Overview

Join Sift as an AI Automation Engineer (GTM). You’ll bridge innovative ideas and production-ready systems by building the AI automation infrastructure that supports customer engagement and conversion. This is a hands-on engineering role (not a strategy role) partnering closely with marketing, sales, operations, and leadership.

Key Missions

• Architect and build AI-powered GTM systems, including automation pipelines and sales enablement tools.
• Write and maintain production code: Python scripts, APIs, and integrations connecting data sources and AI models.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to turn ideas into working systems and drive the AI roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own production implementations end-to-end (build, debug, improve, and maintain).
• Build reliable AI workflows where AI outputs feed into real downstream actions.
• Integrate AI components with data sources and validate AI outputs for correctness and reliability.

Requirements

• Python: strong enough to build, debug, and fully own scripts and pipelines; comfortable working in a GitHub repo.
• AI in production: prompt engineering, API integration, and output validation; understanding of where AI succeeds/fails.
• Cross-functional communication: explain what you build and why it matters; listen and iterate with non-technical teammates.
• GTM context: understand what sales/BDR teams need (lead qualification, deal cycle bottlenecks, and what makes enablement useful).
• Real automation experience: not only “template” automations—systems with inputs/outputs, failure handling, and real users.
• Vector databases / RAG: build or maintain production RAG pipelines, including chunking, embedding model choice, retrieval evaluation, and debugging retrieval quality.
• Experience expected with Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar.
• Self-sufficient and curious: can go from vague idea to working prototype and keep up with current AI tooling.
