AI-Assisted Software Engineer, Web Applications

Role Overview

Build and scale LMG Staffing Solutions’ internal web applications using Next.js (React) and Django. You’ll deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions while using AI coding assistants and Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to accelerate development and maintain clean architecture.

Responsibilities

• Front End (Next.js/React): Develop fast, responsive, intuitive user interfaces.
• Back End (Django/Python): Architect and build secure, scalable APIs and core business logic.
• Integration & Architecture: Design clean, modular systems that connect internal tools, databases, and third-party platforms.
• AI-Assisted Development & MCPs: Use AI coding assistants daily and build or integrate MCPs to extend AI agent capabilities.
• Quality & Maintainability: Write clean, modular code with comprehensive automated tests; participate in code reviews.
• Collaboration: Communicate clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Proven experience designing robust APIs and integrating third-party platforms.
• Strong commitment to automated testing, clean architecture, and modern QA practices.
• Familiarity with cloud basics, Docker (containerization), and Git (version control).
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building or working with Model Context Protocols (MCPs) or AI agents.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) and automated deployments.
• Experience with Agile workflows (e.g., Asana or Jira).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
