About the role

Role Overview

Senior Agentic AI Architect at Synchro. You will design and implement scalable architectures for AI-assisted data workflows that enable LLMs to enhance internal data operations. This is a hands-on role combining systems-level design with real engineering implementation.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement AI-assisted data workflows and agentic systems
Build and maintain LLM-enabled services, prompt frameworks, and coding standards
Develop semantic/context layers so AI outputs align with business logic and data models
Design multi-agent workflows with human-in-the-loop controls
Build Python microservices using FastAPI and deploy them on Kubernetes
Orchestrate data/AI pipelines using Dagster or Prefect
Integrate LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) into event-driven architectures using Kafka
Optimize for latency, efficiency, and quality and drive reusable platform components

Required Qualifications

5+ years in data or platform engineering with modern data stacks (e.g., SQL, dbt, Snowflake)
Production experience with LLMs, AI agents, or automation workflows
Experience building Python microservices and Kubernetes deployments
Familiarity with orchestration frameworks: Dagster / Prefect
Hands-on LLM integration and event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)
Strong systems thinking and ability to translate architecture into implementation
Proven technical leadership with hands-on coding and architecture guidance

Remote within the U.S., excluding CA, MA, NJ
Flexibility for hybrid or in-office work where supported
