AI Agentics Engineer

Role Overview

ClassLink is hiring a Senior or Principal Agentic AI Engineer to accelerate software delivery across the engineering organization by designing and scaling agentic coding workflows.

Responsibilities

• Agentic workflow design & implementation

  • Architect and implement agentic coding workflows using Claude Code, Cursor, and related AI development tools at org scale.
  • Create and maintain reusable Skills packages that encode team-specific patterns, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Author PRDs optimized for agent consumption to enable autonomous task completion with minimal human intervention.
  • Build/configure pre-commit & post-commit hooks, integrate with CI/CD, and enforce automated quality gates.
  • Develop/manage custom agents and multi-agent orchestration patterns for complex, multi-step engineering tasks.

• Scalable systems architecture

  • Design and maintain large-scale multi-tenant SaaS systems with strict data isolation and performance guarantees.
  • Define architecture patterns for API design, database schema management, tenant provisioning, and horizontal scaling.
  • Drive technical decisions on deployment strategies, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
  • Establish/enforce standards for security, performance, observability, and reliability.

• Developer enablement & adoption

  • Lead rollout and adoption of agentic AI tools across development teams (training, documentation, onboarding).
  • Produce documentation, playbooks, and reference implementations for self-serve agent workflows.
  • Track and report adoption and ROI metrics (productivity, code quality, usage).
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert and advocate for AI-augmented development practices.

Success Criteria

• First 30 days: Audit current agentic tool usage; identify gaps in skills, hooks, and documentation; deliver a prioritized improvement roadmap.
• First 90 days: Ship a complete skills package for the primary tech stack and establish standardized PRD templates for agent consumption.
