Agile Transformation Architect

Role Overview

GDIT is seeking an Agile Transformation Architect (Agile Senior Solution Architect) to drive Agile transformation and digital modernization across Defense programs. The role combines architecture, coaching, and delivery practices to help teams transition from traditional SDLC/ITSM to modern Agile and DevSecOps ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile transformation for Defense programs moving from traditional SDLC/ITSM to modern Agile delivery.
• Coach teams and leaders on Agile practices to accelerate delivery and improve mission outcomes.
• Architect modern solutions across:
  • Agile delivery
  • DevSecOps
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Automation and observability
  • Updated ITSM workflows
• Strengthen proposals via technical narratives, solution graphics, win themes, and compliant architectures aligned to DoD evaluation criteria.
• Deliver workshops and training to help government and contractor teams adopt sustainable Agile and DevSecOps practices.
• Create reusable assets and reference architectures for DoD IT Modernization programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years in IT delivery, systems engineering, DevSecOps, infrastructure, or architecture.
• 15+ years hands-on experience leading/coaching Agile teams.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile, Lean-Agile/SAFe.
• Demonstrated use of ALM and ITSM tools such as Jira, VersionOne, GitLab, or ServiceNow.
• Proven ability to communicate with leaders and guide teams through change.
• US Citizenship required.
• Clearance: Active Secret required to start; ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SPC, Scrum Master, or Scrum Product Owner.
• Experience delivering Agile coaching, technical training, or Agile workshops.
• Strong consulting, communication, and facilitation skills.

Location & Travel

• Remote (hybrid possible) with 25–50% travel depending on program needs.
• Location: Any Location / Remote (United States).
