Agile SCRUM Master 3

Role Overview

Certified Scrum Master supporting USPS Finance and Payment Technology Services (FPTS). The role focuses on helping development and testing teams deliver data-intensive applications aligned with IT architecture and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and help guide development and testing teams
• Manage the full Scrum process, including maintaining Scrum artifacts and Scrum tools
• Oversee work tracking and release management
• Support USPS management with change management efforts
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend/take action
• Participate in application testing and USPS SDLC tasks (e.g., defect fixes, vulnerability remediation, quality improvements)
• Support application delivery from assignment through implementation

• PAYROLL: a COBOL mainframe system hosted on-site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience if no degree
• US citizenship required to obtain/maintain USPS Public Trust security clearance
• Strong communication, organization, time management, project management, risk management, problem solving, adaptability, and teamwork

Preferred Skills

• Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methods to improve collaboration and software testing/development
• Experience using VersionOne (or similar work management tools)
• Strong understanding of SDLC and operating systems
• Ability to troubleshoot payroll calculation discrepancies (system bug vs input error)
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Product Owner, managers, and developers
• DevSecOps / Agile / Scrum familiarity
• Knowledge of SDLC practices, payroll systems & processing; mainframe knowledge is a plus
