Agile Release Train Coach And Engineer

Role Overview

Join Booz Allen Hamilton as an Agile Release Train Coach & Engineer, helping an Army client accelerate modernization by connecting strategy to execution. You will coach multiple Agile teams and Scrum Masters while synchronizing an enterprise-scale Release Train that delivers measurable mission value.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide multiple Agile teams and Scrum Masters.
• Act as a Release Train Engineer to synchronize delivery across an enterprise Agile ecosystem.
• Drive alignment across engineering, architecture, networking, cybersecurity, and data teams, plus senior leadership.
• Enable continuous improvement through disciplined delivery practices.
• Manage dependencies and coordinate program-level synchronization.

Requirements

• 8+ years coaching Agile teams in large, complex organizations.
• 8+ years experience as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or enterprise-level Agile facilitator.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence, plus Agile/Lean metrics.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, dependency management, and program-level synchronization.
• Experience working with engineering, architecture, or DevSecOps teams.
• Ability to guide leadership and mission partners.
• Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting Army National Guard, Army CIO/G-6, NGB, or DoD-scale transformation.
• Experience with hybrid Agile-ITSM or scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management.
• Experience building portfolio-level Kanban systems and value-stream mapping.
• Experience with data engineering/automation tools or analytics platforms such as Databricks.
• Certifications: CSPO, RTE, SAFe Agilist, CSM, or PMI-ACP.
