About the role
Role Overview
As an Agile Release Train Coach & Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will help an Army client accelerate modernization by connecting strategy to execution. You’ll coach multiple Agile teams and synchronize an enterprise-scale Release Train, driving alignment across engineering, architecture, networking, cybersecurity, and data teams.
Responsibilities
- Coach multiple Agile teams and Scrum Masters while building delivery momentum across the enterprise.
- Serve as an Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) to synchronize program execution and delivery.
- Drive alignment and readiness across engineering, architecture, networking, cybersecurity, and data stakeholders.
- Enable continuous improvement, including dependency management and program-level synchronization.
- Use tooling and metrics (e.g., Jira/Confluence and Agile/Lean metrics) to track progress and improve delivery.
- Guide leadership and mission partners through enterprise Agile adoption and delivery barrier removal.
Requirements
- 8+ years coaching Agile teams in large, complex organizations.
- 8+ years experience as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or enterprise Agile facilitator.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience driving continuous improvement, dependency management, and program synchronization.
- Experience working with engineering, architecture, or DevSecOps teams.
- Ability to guide leadership and mission partners.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Secret clearance required.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Army National Guard, Army CIO/G-6, NGB, or DoD-scale transformation.
- Experience with hybrid Agile-ITSM or scaled frameworks such as SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management.
- Portfolio-level Kanban systems and value-stream mapping.
- Data engineering/automation tools or advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks).
- Certifications such as CSPO, RTE, SAFe Agilist, CSM, or PMI-ACP.
