Role Overview

Agile Product Owner responsible for maximizing value from business applications and technology solutions delivered by Agile teams operating under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The role blends Agile product ownership with subject matter expertise to ensure delivered designs meet end-user needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Product Owner for an Agile team: manage the team backlog and align work with business priorities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize requirements, translating them into user stories.
  • Participate in PI Planning, along with sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Serve as SME for assigned business application(s) and act as liaison with IT and external technical teams.
  • Provide escalated user support for the utilization of business application(s).
  • Research and apply emerging trends to projects and operations.
  • Analyze business/user needs, technologies, and risks to recommend solutions and develop requirement documentation and system specifications.
  • Contribute strategic expertise to large-scale initiatives.
  • As a project lead: provide training, mentorship, and guidance to staff and support team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements / What You Need To Know About the Job

  • Strong Agile product ownership experience within a SAFe environment.
  • Ability to develop requirements/specifications for new functionality and ensure technical integrity, compliance, and innovation.
  • Experience supporting complex technologies, including maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and documenting procedures.
  • Ability to resolve critical issues and execute high-complexity projects with significant scope, size, and risk.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Participation in industry/knowledge-sharing groups and demonstrated drive to research and implement current/emerging technology solutions.
  • Ability to mentor and lead, including training and guidance to staff.

Location / Schedule

  • 100% remote (virtual), can be located anywhere in the United States, but must work an east coast schedule.
  • Preference for proximity to Fairfield, NJ.
