About the role

Role Overview

The Agile Delivery Lead (Scrum Master) helps build high-performing software and infrastructure teams to deliver high-value products and platform projects using Agile methodologies. The role combines responsibilities of a scrum facilitator, organizational leader, and team capacity builder—protecting psychological health while ensuring delivery and quality.

Responsibilities

Team Development

Build self-sustaining teams with strong software development practices across communication, estimation, planning, prioritization, and delivery.
Support team health by demonstrating leadership vulnerability, holding team members accountable, and creating structured feedback loops inside and outside the team.
Maintain transparent facilitation practices for backlog, workload, throughput, and velocity, including delivery metrics and milestone tracking.
Assess skills using a competency matrix, performing gap analysis relative to workload and team responsibilities.

Facilitation

Facilitate team ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
Support the Product Owner (and/or Platform Lead) in maintaining a healthy dynamic around scope and prioritization.
Support the Technical Lead in areas related to building and improving team execution.

Continuous Improvement & Agile Education

Implement continuous improvement in process and communication.
Educate the team in Lean and Agile methodology, practices, and values.
Apply Scrum values (focus, courage, openness, commitment, respect) and help teams navigate conflict constructively.

Requirements / What you bring

Demonstrated Lean/Agile leadership and experience facilitating Scrum practices and ceremonies.
Ability to help build psychological safety, emphasizing transparency, vulnerability, and inclusive viewpoints.
Strong understanding of tradeoffs involving UX, engineering capabilities, user/customer needs, process, and business goals.

Nice-to-haves

Experience working within a product/team “triumvirate” model alongside Product Owners and Technical Leads.
Familiarity with Agile measurement/metrics such as throughput and velocity and using them to drive improvement.
