About the role

Role Overview

Agile Delivery Lead (Remote, U.S.) is responsible for leading Agile delivery for a software product team and helping standardize Product Operations across a growing GovTech organization. The position begins as a dedicated Scrum Master for one product team and can expand into broader Product Operations responsibilities across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

Act as Scrum Master for an assigned product team:
- Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Own and optimize Jira processes:
- Backlog organization, workflows, dashboards, story management, and Agile reporting
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to:
- Maintain backlog health, prioritize work, remove blockers, and improve sprint execution
Use AI tools to automate Product/Agile workflows (e.g., Claude, Atlassian Intelligence, or similar)
Track and communicate delivery metrics:
- Velocity, cycle time, predictability, dependencies, risks, and blockers
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to adopt Agile practices without direct management authority
As the role expands, help standardize Jira/Agile processes across multiple product teams and drive continuous improvements

Requirements

5+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar
CSM or PSM I/II certification required
Strong hands-on Jira expertise (backlog management, workflows, dashboards, reporting)
Experience with Confluence and Microsoft 365
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies, coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution
Demonstrated ability to influence teams cross-functionally without direct authority
Strong process improvement mindset
AI-forward mindset with hands-on experience or strong interest in tools like Claude, Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo, Copilot, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting multiple Agile product/software teams
Experience standardizing Jira/Agile delivery practices across teams
Scaled Agile experience (e.g., SAFe, PI Planning, cross-team synchronization)
Advanced Agile certifications (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM, SSM, SASM)
Experience using AI to automate reporting/documentation/backlog or Product Operations workflows
GovTech/state/local government technology experience
Experience mentoring/coaching Scrum Masters and teams toward higher Agile maturity
