Agile Consulting Manager/Release Train Engineer - Remote US Position

Role Overview

Agile Consulting Manager / Release Train Engineer (Remote - US) You will serve as an Agile Subject Matter Expert and leadership partner to clients and teams, helping them adopt and scale Agile ways of working while coordinating delivery across Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive Agile initiatives across NTT DATA and client engagements
• Conduct small-scale Agile maturity assessments and create plans to advance clients on their Agile journey
• Identify and influence opportunities to expand account scope
• Structure programs/portfolios including cadences and communication channels
• Act as Agile SME: define roles/responsibilities and support scaling Agile development
• Coach transitions from waterfall to Agile and increase Agile adoption
• Promote a culture of innovation using Agile values and practices (collaboration, predictability, transparency, velocity)
• Coordinate Agile team execution: progress tracking, impediment resolution, and project management oversight
• Provide team leadership through autonomy and empowerment within appropriate boundaries
• Own the overall Agile roadmap including Dual-track Agile, DevOps, and Scrum/Kanban; plan process improvements over time
• Perform ROI/return-on-investment analysis to assess business problems and outcomes
• Lead client stakeholder conversations, including sales-aligned needs discovery
• Create Business SOWs and support Strategic Discovery initiatives
• Represent NTT DATA with client leadership; set expectations
• Lead collaborative short- and long-term planning
• Collaborate across practices (e.g., Product Experience, Engineering, Field)
• Update Burn-up charts each sprint in the NTT DATA format
• Enable/coach reporting team members with training and knowledge so they can complete tasks during your absence
• Demonstrate alignment with the NTT DATA Leadership Competency Framework
• Career coach 1–2 team members and coach Agile teams (including Pragmatic Agile)
• Step into a lead role by mentoring peers and providing actionable feedback
• Contribute to Agile Guild presentations and broader knowledge-sharing (marketing outreach, blog/articles, training)
• Handle difficult discussions with senior executives
• Oversee internal process flow and provide senior management with accurate, timely information for client decisions

Requirements

• 5+ years consulting experience focused on Agile
• 5+ years working as a Scrum Master
• 2+ years coaching teams (additional details truncated in the posting)
