About the role
Role overview
As an Agile Coach at Wesco, you will guide Scaled teams and/or individual teams by actively supporting planning, facilitation, and measurement so teams can achieve committed outcomes. You will mentor leaders and Product Owners, and help drive digital transformation in a Scrum @ Scale environment.
Responsibilities
- Coach senior leaders in Agile & Lean so they become effective Agile Champions
- Coach Agile teams and business/IT partners (e.g., Product Executives/Owners, Value Stream Owners) on:
- transparency, empowerment, ethics, self-organization, and responsive action
- Contribute to and evolve processes aligned to the organization’s enterprise Agile transformation strategy
- Lead cultural transformation toward the Agile way of working
- Design and execute custom coaching plans at:
- portfolio, team-of-teams, and team levels
- Own outcomes to ensure Scaled Teams deliver value at the right time and in the right way
- Help teams improve efficiency using appropriate metrics
- Teach and mentor Lean, Agile, Scrum/Kanban principles and best practices
- Facilitate team events and ensure event outcomes are achieved
- Work with teams to implement new practices that improve delivery outcomes
- Foster a Kaizen mindset
- Help remove team impediments; leverage Scrum of Scrums and challenge organizational impediments when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agile, Project Management, or related disciplines
- 7+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach
- 2+ years experience as a leader, RTE, or Scrum of Scrums Master
- 2+ years working in a Scaled environment (preferably Scrum @ Scale or SAFe)
- Strong communication, coaching, teaching, and mentoring skills
- Embody Scrum Values: Openness, Respect, Courage, Commitment, Focus
- Bias for action; comfortable in ambiguity
- Ability to navigate complex situations and serve as a role model
- Experience guiding multiple teams through successful large-scale planning/coordination/delivery with continuous improvement
- Strong facilitation skills; able to coach and teach in an agile team context
- Ability to build trust and influence partners through collaboration
- Advanced or coaching credential from Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc, Scrum.org, or ICAgile (preferred)
- Tech savvy and experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Office 365 (preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Coaching experience using design thinking and product discovery approaches (e.g., product journey mapping, problem statement development, prototyping, visioning)
- Experimental fail-fast and learning mindset
- Experience applying DevSecOps capabilities to delivery speed and operational stability
- Experience working across varied technical domains (e.g., warehouse management systems, ERPs, financial systems, data warehouses)
Work model
- Remote work with ability to travel to office locations as needed
