Agile Coach

Role Overview

Valtech is seeking an Agile Coach to lead, coach, and facilitate an Agile Release Train (ART) as part of a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) implementation. You will act as a servant leader and Agile champion, aligning and synchronizing multiple teams while driving continuous improvement and delivery against organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Facilitation of Key Events

  • Organize and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, aligning teams on shared objectives and dependencies (in close coordination with the Release Manager).
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums (SoS) to identify and address cross-team impediments, escalating to management when needed.
  • Oversee Product Owner Sync (PO Sync) to align priorities, manage dependencies, and support timely feature delivery.
  • Run Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops at the end of each PI to identify systemic issues and drive improvement.
  • Conduct regular ART Syncs with key stakeholders to communicate progress, assess program risks, and maintain strategic alignment.

• Agile Coaching & Culture Building

  • Coach teams within the ART on SAFe principles, Lean-Agile practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Agile values (collaboration, transparency, accountability) and ensure adherence to SAFe processes.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other Agile team members to improve team performance.

• Risk & Dependency Management

  • Proactively manage and resolve program-level risks, impediments, and dependencies with team leads and stakeholders.
  • Use data and feedback to enable informed decisions and maintain smooth flow of work.

• Stakeholder Alignment & Communication

  • Build relationships with Product Management, Solution Architects, and Business Owners to ensure priority alignment.
  • Serve as a stakeholder point of contact for ART visibility, escalation, and expectation management.

• Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Use key metrics to track ART performance, identify trends, and drive actions that improve program effectiveness.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to remove inefficiencies based on feedback and data.

Requirements (Must Have)

• 5+ years in a leadership role within Agile frameworks (preferably SAFe).
