About the role

Role Overview

Agile Coach for Leidos’ Homeland Security Solutions Operation, supporting a mission-critical program for the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The role partners with product owners, technical leads, and agile delivery teams to strengthen Agile and DevOps practices and ensure requirements translate into the right backlog items and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, and development teams on requirement elicitation and ensure requirements are accurately reflected in Jira (features/epics/stories).
  • Coordinate with architects and technical leads to develop integrated solutions leveraging cloud and AI capabilities.
  • Work across product teams to refine, groom, and prioritize the issue backlog.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks, and produce team performance reports.
  • Improve testability by working with teams to understand requirements and transition test coverage toward BDD (with test automation teams).
  • Adapt quickly to a dynamic customer environment; socialize new ways of working and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Lead or coordinate across multiple agile delivery teams to respond to government engineering change requests and capture requirements effectively.

Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

  • BS + 12–15 years relevant experience, or Master’s + 10–13 years (Doctorate may be considered).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban and improving Agile delivery processes.
  • At least 5 years working with agile teams to speed delivery of capabilities.
  • At least 3 years working with technical experts to enhance and implement DevOps processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse teams, product owners, and SMEs.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating workshops to elicit clear requirements.
  • Experience ensuring development teams capture requirements in Jira (features/epics/user stories).
  • Compliance with software standards.
  • Jira and Confluence experience required.
  • CI/CD and DevOps knowledge and a proven track record implementing these with technical teams.
  • Must be able to maintain/obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years applying AI to improve project management and agile artifacts/processes.
  • PMP and/or Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe certification.
  • Active CBP BI experience.
