About the role

Role Overview

As an Agile Coach, you will help organizations transition to an agile mindset and culture. You’ll work with clients to understand their products, processes, and tools, identify improvement opportunities, and guide teams toward effective agile and SAFe practices.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients build and lead a product culture focused on valuable and viable solutions
  • Solve complex problems using clear reasoning and compelling storytelling
  • Advise on Agile, SAFe, and Scrum @ Scale strategies across the organization
  • Build trust and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across ARTs (e.g., Scrum Masters, leadership, Product Owners/Product Managers, and ART teams)
  • Facilitate setting OKRs aligned to product teams and rolled up to organizational goals
  • Coach teams on agile principles and processes, including Product Vision, Product Strategy, and aligning roadmaps to customer value
  • Partner with teams to improve their agile practices
  • Identify practical approaches to keep teams engaged and motivated in a remote environment
  • Escalate impediments and risks and explain impact in plain language

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or Green Card status and ability to pass a Public Trust clearance process for a US Government client
  • 3+ years experience as an Agile Coach
  • Experience leading agile transformations
  • Effective coach: strong communicator, patient, and enjoys teaching
  • Working understanding of software methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong facilitation skills, including leading training and sessions for backlog development/refinement and problem-solving workshops
  • Experience across the product management lifecycle
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Certifications / Nice to Haves

  • SPC 5.0 (required)
  • RTE and Scrum Master certifications (strongly preferred)
  • Reside in a US SBA HUBZone or willing to relocate (strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Automation (strongly preferred)
