Agile Coach

Role Overview

Agile Coach / Scrum Master (Agilist) to support multiple teams delivering customer-facing outcomes. This is a remote role (EST/CST preferred) with 6-month contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as a servant leader and coach across multiple teams, reinforcing agile principles and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement via retrospectives, experimentation, and feedback loops
• Coach teams and Product Owners on applying agile thinking to problem-solving and decision-making
• Support teams using a mix of methodologies, including:
  • Scrum
  • Kanban
  • Scaled agile frameworks
• Assess team and organizational needs to guide appropriate framework selection and evolution
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize work with measurable business and customer impact
• Improve alignment on:
  • Objectives and roadmaps
  • Backlog management
• Coach teams on outcome-based planning, effective work breakdown, and tracking value delivery
• Facilitate core agile events (with outcome focus):
  • Planning sessions
  • Daily standups
  • Reviews
  • Retrospectives

Requirements

• 5+ years supporting agile teams as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar
• Proven success enabling teams to deliver incremental value and improve delivery flow
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership skills
• Ability to apply agile principles across varied team structures/environments
• Prior hands-on experience in an agile delivery role
• Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe, ICP, or similar)
• Experience with scaled agile environments and/or across multiple teams

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with Lean methodologies, systems thinking, and organizational change practices
• Exposure to regulated industries (insurance, financial services)
