Role Overview

Join Affirm Bank as Head of FP&A / Strategic Finance Manager, a pivotal role in the formation and operational build-out of the bank. You’ll lead forecasting, budgeting, capital strategy, and strategic decision support—while building the strategic finance function.

Key Missions & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end forecasting and budget processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals during the startup phase.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support:
  • strategic planning
  • scenario analysis
  • bank forecasting
• Oversee capital strategy and provide strategic decision support to executives.
• Build and lead the strategic finance team, including strategic direction, recruitment, coaching, and operational scaling of the function.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in analytical roles (e.g., strategic finance, consulting, data science, analytics) with demonstrated impact on business outcomes.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency with modeling tools.
• Ability to connect detailed analysis to strategic context and executive-level decisions.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing cross-functional decisions.
• Proven ownership, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with fintech, lending, and payments business models.
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools (preferred).
