Affirm Bank Accounting Senior Manager (Controller)

Role Overview

Join Affirm Bank as a Senior Manager (Controller) during a period of growth. As Bank Controller, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Affirm Bank Accounting Team, strengthen regulatory reporting, oversee audits, and drive accounting and reporting automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including G/L and daily operational flows
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission
• Build and run a controlled regulatory reporting function for accurate and timely filings (e.g., FFIEC 041 Call Reports, Part 363 Annual Reports)
• Manage audit processes
• Drive accounting and reporting automation through improved tools and processes
• Build and lead the bank accounting team
• Serve as a primary liaison with cross-functional teams
• Manage additional financial analysis and special projects

Requirements

• 10+ years relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury-related areas
• 5+ years of people management experience
• Accounting designation such as CPA or CA
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting
• Proven analysis, cash management, and modeling experience
• Experience building tools/processes and scaling an accounting team in a similar industry
• Extremely detail-oriented; strong critical thinking
