About the role
Role Overview
Full-time Adobe Engineer (AEP/AJO Engineer) supporting Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and/or Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) implementations.
Location
- Phoenix, AZ or Remote (United States)
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience in the Adobe Experience Cloud / Adobe Tech stack (AEP, Adobe Campaign, or CDP)
- 2+ hands-on projects in AEP implementation/operations and/or AJO implementation
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage AEP schemas, datasets, and data flows to build unified customer profiles
- Implement and maintain data ingestion pipelines for real-time and batch sources
- Build API-based audience creation and activation using AEP RT-CDP
- Automate audience workflows and enable real-time synchronization with downstream platforms
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to design scalable REST API integrations for audience delivery
- Design and operationalize event-driven customer journeys using AJO decisioning
- Configure decision rules, eligibility logic, and offer hierarchies for personalization
- Maintain data privacy compliance and internal governance
- Document solutions, integration blueprints, and workflows for ongoing platform maturity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or related field
- Hands-on experience with AEP (implementation + operations)
- Proven expertise with RT-CDP segmentation, audience/profile activation, configuration, and real-time events (mobile/web)
- Hands-on experience with Adobe I/O, REST APIs, JSON, and XDM schemas
- Understanding of data governance, identity resolution, and customer data pipelines
- Exposure to Adobe Experience Cloud tools such as Workfront, AEM, CJA
- Experience with either:
- RT-CDP / AEP projects, including API-based audience creation/management, or
- Adobe Journey Optimizer projects (AJO-D), including journeys creation & integration and offers decisioning
Preferred Skills
- Adobe Certified Expert in AEP / RT-CDP / AJO-D
- Knowledge of real-time streaming (e.g., Kafka, Adobe Edge Network)
- Familiarity with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
