Role Overview
Advisor InRule Developer (Remote-first, US)
You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications that deliver healthcare-focused automation and decisioning logic. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical consulting, system design, and occasional team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex application components using .NET and C#
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs
- Build and optimize rules-based decision automation using the InRule Rules Engine
- Assess and improve existing applications (enhancements, modernization, and performance)
- Collaborate with project managers and development teams to plan, track, and deliver technical solutions
- Provide technical consulting to clients and internal stakeholders; validate requirements and resolve complex issues
- Execute test plans and participate in QA activities (including code reviews)
- Lead small sub-teams when needed, delegating tasks and maintaining alignment with project objectives
Requirements
- 9+ years experience designing and implementing applications using .NET and C#, including Oracle
- Strong hands-on experience with InRule Rules Engine (or similar business rules/decision automation platforms)
- Proficiency with ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Web API, Entity Framework, and LINQ
- Strong understanding of the SDLC and enterprise application development practices
- Ability to design scalable systems and convert complex requirements into solutions
- Collaborative experience across cross-functional teams with exposure to leadership responsibilities
- Strong analytical/debugging skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-driven and able to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally (0–10%) and work flexible schedules

- Prior client-facing technical consulting experience
